d/b
constructors, inc. was selected by Dallas architect, John Campbell Wright, to
assist in the design development and budget of this 22,000 square foot, awarded
winning, office/warehouse building for Phoenix Packaging of Plano, Texas.
By Developing the architectural design simultaneously with the
budget cost, the design team was able to control all phases of the project.
Therefore, the owner was able to enter into an agreement for the construction of
the project with costs that were fully known prior to making major financial
commitments.
The nationally recognized System Builders Association awarded
d/b constructors the prestigious Building of the Year recognition at their
annual Builder’s Convention. Also, Ceco Building Systems, one of the nation’s
leading building manufacturers, and designer and fabricator of the structural
system of this project, commended the aesthetic qualities and refined space
planning that resulted from the creative interfacing of the office and warehouse
areas.
Some of the distinctive features of this praise worthy
project are:
Elevated, dock-high, warehouse and shipping/receiving
areas for tractor trailer access.
Over 27,000 square feet of low maintenance, reinforced,
concrete paving carefully planned and laid-out in a manner so as not to
obstruct the proposed 22,000 square foot expansion.
Standing Seam roof system providing the ultimate in
weather tightness with a 20 year weather tightness warranty, and life
expectancy exceeding 36 years to first maintenance.
Aesthetically planned Handicap Accessibility, including
space planning, ramp access, and hand railing for compliance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act.
Proper planning and research at the beginning of a
construction project determines how successful that project will be in the end.
At d/b constructors, inc. this is “business as usual.”
